Notes on the fourth string

Next lets play the notes on the fourth string of the guitar.
Step 1. Play the open fourth string D.
Step 2. Put your second finger (middle finger) on the first fret.
Now play the fourth string. This is an E note. Make sure your finger is close to the fret and use the tip to depress the string.
Step 3. Put your third finger (ring finger) on the third fret.
Now play the fourth string. This is an F note. Make sure your finger is close to the fret and use the tip to depress the string.
